Marc Teicholz
Marc Teicholz won first prize in the 1989 International Guitar Foundation of America competition. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Russia, receiving critical acclaim for his recitals and master classes. Mr. Teicholz also has toured Southeast Asia under the auspices of the U.S.I.A. Artistic Ambassador program and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Spain, Portugal, California and Hawaii. He currently records for Naxos and Sugo records. Mr. Teicholz graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, received an M.M. from the Yale School of Music and a J.D. from the Boalt School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley.
Lynn McGrath
Lynn McGrath has performed in multiple international festivals including the XIX Festival Internacional de Guitarra (Lima, Peru), the Guitar on the Mediterranean Festival (Italy), the Nikšić Festival (Montenegro), the III Muestra de Guitarra Ajijic (Mexico) and for the 2009 Guitar Foundation of America Convention. In her unique rendition of Platero y yo by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Lynn McGrath has astounded audiences by performing the role of guitarist and narrator simultaneously.
Lynn McGrath has performed and given masterclasses for prominent guitar programs including the University of Veracruz (Mexico) and Oberlin Conservatory, and has appeared on arts series across the United States. In 2008, she completed a concert tour of Peru, and has been an outreach artist for organizations such as the Austin Classical Guitar Society and the Da Camera Society (Los Angeles).
After having received degrees in Spanish Language and Literature, Education, and in Music, in 2006 Lynn received a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Southern California. She has studied with some of today’s most prominent guitarists, including William Kanengiser, Pepe Romero, as well as James Smith and Douglas Rubio. Lynn McGrath is a former faculty member from Crane School of Music, State University of New York at Potsdam, where she received a Student Choice Award in 2006. She also serves as the Tour Director for the Guitar Foundation of America and presently lives and teaches in Albuquerque, NM.
John Truitt

John Truitt has been on the faculty of the Menaul School since 2008. He is a former faculty member of the Albuquerque Academy where he taught guitar and band classes. He received a B.M.E. from the University of New Mexico. He composes and arranges music for various guitar ensembles. He is the coordinator for the New Mexico Guitar Initiative. He has been involved in guitar workshops at the University of New Mexico, teaching classes in flamenco guitar. His talents include jazz saxophone, renaissance recorder, flamenco and classical guitar.
He is the director of the festival's guitar orchestra. He is in the process of composing an original work for the ensemble which will be premiered at this summer's festival.
